History

A 31-year-old woman has had a red, uncomfortable eye with moderate mucoserous discharge for 5 days. The problem began in the left eye, and after 5 days, spread to the right eye. She experienced and initially intense foreign body sensation, and has recently developed mild photophobia and blurred vision. Her left eye is shown in the photograph.
