History
A 42-year-old African-American woman complains of painless loss of vision in one eye which has progressed during the past several months. The optic nerve in the affected eye is illustrated in the photograph. The opposite eye is normal.
Questions
1. Describe and explain the pupillary response that you would expect in this patient. How would pupillary response differ in the two eye?
2. Describe the appearance of the optic disc and its significance.
