Welcome

The Beebe lab is involved in two major areas of research: (1) using gene targeting to determine the functions of growth factors in lens development and (2) identifying the mechanism responsible for and ways to prevent age-related nuclear cataracts. More detailed information about our ongoing studies can be found by clicking on the "Projects" link to the left.

For Prospective Students and Postdocs:

Information about applying for graduate study can be found on the web site of the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences (DBBS), our interdisciplinary graduate program at: http://dbbs.wustl.edu/. All students must apply for graduate study to the DBBS, not to individual investigators. However, Dr. Beebe would be happy to provide additional information about the research possibilities in his laboratory. Just email him at beebe@wustl.edu.

For more detailed information about the graduate programs in which Dr. Beebe participates, please go to their websites: Molecular Cell Biology Program, Developmental Biology Program, and Siteman Cancer Center Cell Signaling Program

Dr. Beebe is honored to have been selected by the Academic Women's Network as Mentor of the Year in 2007. He was also selected by the Graduate Student Senate to receive an Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award for 2007.
