Congratulations to Jonathan Lin, PhD who has been selected as one of the recipients of the Ceil M. DeGutis Prize in Chemical Biology or Medicinal Chemistry for 2020.
This award was established in memory of the late Ceil M. DeGutis, in recognition of a graduate student’s significant contribution to the fields of Chemical Biology or Medicinal Chemistry, broadly defined.
Dr. Apte nominated Jonathan for this award based on his research dedicated to the discovery that NAD+ intermediate molecules can enhance the metabolism the metabolism of the neurosensory retina and thus have therapeutic potential for preventing photoreceptor neurodegeneration.
