WashU Visionaries participated in the Mindseye Adaptive Athletics BeepBall Tournament on Saturday, September 9th, 2023.
BeepBall is a spin on baseball that unites athletes who are blind and sighted on the same playing field.
Players are guided by sound, not sight – the sound of the beeping ball, buzzing bases, and cues from the pitcher. All BeepBall athletes are blindfolded except for the sighted pitcher, catcher, and outfield spotters providing the unique opportunity for people of all visual abilities to compete.
