Why did you choose WashU Medicine?
I think the ophthalmology department is the best in the country with regard to its clinical/surgical volume, mentorship, research, and camaraderie.
Where did you complete your residency?
WashU
Why did you choose Ophthalmology and your specialty?
I chose ophthalmology and glaucoma to help prevent one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness. I hope to leave an impact as my mentor Dr. Bhorade did.
Favorite memory of your residency?
The daily lunches at the VA with my co-residents.
What did you learn in your residency that impacted you the most?
The most growth happens during the challenging cases and complex patients.
What excites you most about starting your fellowship at WashU Medicine?
The mentorship, teaching residents and medical students, and learning the complexities of glaucoma care.
What do you look forward to about living in St. Louis?
Being close to family and enjoying all that Saint Louis has to offer with our son.
