UNMC’s Distinguished Lecture Series brings nationally recognized physicians and researchers together to share knowledge and advance patient care across the vision community.
Advancing Pediatric Ophthalmology Education
Lueder’s presentations focused on several important areas of pediatric eye care. His talks provided updates on retinoblastoma management, explored surgical strategies for rare forms of strabismus and nystagmus, and highlighted childhood ocular abnormalities that may be signs of underlying systemic disease.
Through these presentations, Lueder aimed to share current approaches to diagnosis and management while increasing awareness of ocular findings that can provide important clues to a child’s overall health.
Lueder is a member of the WashU Medicine pediatric ophthalmology team, where his clinical and educational interests include childhood eye disorders, strabismus, nystagmus and retinoblastoma.
