My favorite memory from optometry school would have to be the annual class Tahoe trips
Favorite memory between optometry school and starting residency?
I got the chance to travel to Asia with some friends before beginning my residency. I visited Japan, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
Why did you choose Optometry?
I chose optometry because I value the chance to provide ongoing care to patients and their families, while also contributing to their overall well-being.
Why did you choose WashU?
I decided on WashU because of its reputable program, complemented by mentors who are both knowledgeable and supportive. I also wanted to immerse myself in a new city, and I can happily say that the experience has exceeded my expectations in every way!
How did you survive during quarantine?
I kept busy by binge-watching “The Good Place” on Netflix.
What are you most looking forward to during your residency?
Learning as much as possible.
What are you not looking forward to during your residency?
The winters in Missouri.
What specialty are you most interested in?
Part of my training involves the fitting of specialty contact lenses, which I consider to be one of the most rewarding aspects within the field of optometry.
