What are your future plans?

Why did you choose Ophthalmology/WashU Medicine?
I chose ophthalmology for the anatomy, the surgery, and the science. I chose WashU Medicine for its incredible faculty and staff, the education, and the resources available to us as residents.
Favorite service and why?
Retina, of course! It’s simply the best!
Favorite memory of your residency?
Spending as much or any time with my co-residents! Any time we can all get together is a win!
What did you learn in your residency that impacted you the most?
That would be impossible to narrow down to one thing. I think the biggest thing you learn in residency is to trust your instinct. If something seems off, even if you don’t know exactly what or how, keep investigating.
What advice would you give to the new residents?
The days are long, the years are short. Take it one day at a time. The years will fly and your knowledge will grow exponentially! Enjoy the moments with the people.
